The art of upcycling creatively
Whilst looking over the internet – for something she has now forgotten – local resident Jenny Auckram stumbled across a word that was foreign to her. “Plarn” meant nothing whatsoever. A search through the dictionary found it meant plastic yarn. Being keen on the art of crochet – an interest that began at primary school and has continued to blossom from the age of 17 to the present day – the idea of creating her own plastic yarn intrigued Jenny, so she set about taking steps to find a way to produce it.
