Featherston wrestlers win Sports Club of the Year
What a whirlwind couple of weeks! On Saturday 15 June, Featherston Amateur Wrestling Club travelled with their Wairarapa Representative Squad to the North Island Championships in Otaki. This tournament was hosted by Tawa and Waikanae Wrestling Clubs and is the first time in 20 years a club in the lower North Island has hosted a national event. Naturally Featherston was keen to support this event and sent a large squad of 16 wrestlers. It was a long day of competition but we came away with 15 medalists and two fourth places!
