Community Patrol helping to keep Featherston safe
Community Patrols New Zealand is an organisation that enables ordinary folks to be proactive and assist with crime prevention, creating a safer environment for everyone. Featherston’s Community Patrol was re-established in 2005 and we’re extremely fortunate that some of those founding members (Alan Brook, Trish Burgiss, Garry Thomas and Mike van Woerkom) are still enthusiastically involved. We have 15 volunteers who patrol in pairs, so the number of patrollers influences the number of two hour shifts we can do.
