Resurrection at The Miracle Room
Friday 3 July marked the first art exhibition at The Miracle Room since lockdown – and it was exhilarating. More than 60 people helped celebrate Featherston’s art gallery’s ‘resurrection,’ getting a first look at the show and chatting with US artist Kerri McGill. Kerri won a fellowship to fund a New Zealand Pacific Studio artist residency in Wairarapa. Her residency was unexpectedly extended due to the pandemic, and the result was on display in Featherston – a series of exquisite, large-scale landscape paintings. The Miracle Room was awash in colour for the month of July.
