Featherston Booktown launched the 2021 Karukatea Festival programme on 31 March at the Sports Hub, and it’s a wonder! Check the programme at www.booktown.nz and start marking your calendar for talks, debates, workshops, readings and spoken-word performances. From novelists to slam poets, illustrators to podcasters, printers to zine makers, you’ll be able to find something that suits you each day. There will be 20 booksellers in Anzac Hall selling second-hand, antiquarian and self published books – plenty of fossicking fun, especially for local children who have been given $15 book vouchers from the Friends of Featherston Booktown and business sponsors.
