Fifteen years ago, when we moved to Featherston from Wellington, one of the only things we missed was the Wellington Sunday Harbourside Market. To our and many in the community’s delight, in 2015 Long from Levin started coming to Featherston Market next to Langs Pharmacy and Featherston Bakery.
It’s now been over ten years since Long and his family (and local) team have consistently – whether rain or shine (and COVID) – provided our community with a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables plus extras (such as eggs, honey and flowers) at very competitive and reasonable prices. Long’s presence has created a vibrant Saturday market space that has become part of many Featherstonian’s Saturday morning rituals
