The Robert Algie Memorial Trust was lucky enough to partner with Wairarapa Bush Rugby and the New Zealand Parliamentary Rugby Team for a fundraising game last month.
Born and raised in Featherston, Robert is remembered as one of New Zealand’s most popular wrestlers. He died on 8 October 1989 after a 15-month battle with cancer, less than a week after his 33rd birthday.
