The coast may be half an hour’s drive away, but Featherston is well endowed with summer swimming opportunities.
The South Wairarapa District Council-run swimming pools on Johnson Street, behind the Sports Hub clubhouse, are open from
early December to mid-March and are free of charge. The pools open at 2pm during the week and 11am on weekends. Closing
time is 7.30pm except on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when they close at 5.30pm.
